NM NBCT Network
The NMNBCT Network Conference committee met on April 23 and are planning the first ever Virtual State Conference. The Committee is seeking talented NBCTs and/or candidates, such as
yourself, to share your knowledge, expertise, and experience with others by submitting proposals for
presentations and workshops for the Annual NMNBCT State Conference to be held Virtually on
October 24, 2020. It is our hope that this conference will be a catalyst for change across the state as we
Highlight this year’s theme around Whole Teacher Whole Child.
We believe that you share our commitment that every child deserves an accomplished teacher. Help us
transform the teaching profession and improve student learning and teacher effectiveness in our state.
The conference committee will be looking for presentations and workshops in the following areas:
● National standards (Foundations, Candidate strands, leadership)
● Health and Wellness for teachers and students
● Enhancing Teacher effectiveness (could include leadership, tech trends, policies and reforms and
team building)
● Educating the Whole Child (could include social-emotional learning, child development, growth
mindset, project-based learning, and brain-based learning)
Proposal applications will go out in July. Registration for this conference will begin in August and available on our website www.nmnbctnetwork.com
