At this point in our continuing dissection of the great prophetic book called the Book of Revelation, I want to pull together what we have been studying and looking at over many presentations. I want to begin by a revisitation of Revelation, chapter 17, looking at the woman who comes out of the wilderness. John says, 

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” 

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. [Now that is key: carried me away into the wilderness.] And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns (Revelation 17:1- 3 NKJV, comments added in brackets.) 

Now, I have drawn clear and distinct and sharp parallels between what is said in the Scriptures about this woman, and the focus of my sayings has been on the church that has fallen, and continues to fall away, from the truth. The condition of the earth at this time will become increasingly desperate. The earth, as we know it, will be groaning under the weight of man’s transgressions. This is the time, you see—and you must hear this—this is the time just prior to the return of the Lord. 

I want to say some overarching things. Then I want to come back and work very minutely in the specifics of it, to just sort of show you how to deconstruct the understanding of the times, the people, and the spiritual dynamics between the revealing or the consummation of things that relate to Satan and things that relate, more importantly, to the final summation of things that will culminate with the return of the Lord.
