Zen-Nippon Pro Wrestling (series)
Zen-Nippon Pro Wrestling (全日本プロレス?) is a series of wrestling video games based on the professional wrestling promotion All Japan Pro Wrestling. The games were developed by Natsume and released for the Super Famicom and Game Boy. The second game in the series was localized for Western markets and released under the name Natsume Championship Wrestling. Subsequent 3D games based on All Japan have been released, including two using the Zen-Nippon name, but none of them were developed by Natsume.

The games in the series are seen as complementary games to ones in Ryland's Extreme Warfare series. Wrestle War (video game)
Wrestle War is the name of a video game which was released in the arcades in 1989, and for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console in 1991 in Japan, Australia, and Europe only. and was published and developed by Sega. Despite being released the same year as the National Wrestling Alliance/World Championship Wrestling's WrestleWar pay-per-view, it is not associated with any wrestling promotion. The original Japanese game cover featured a Hulk Hogan look-alike, with a bandana that spelled "Hogan". It was changed for the European and US releases for royalties reasons. It did not change the wrestlers faces though, which still are similar to those of real wrestling stars of the time.

Tecmo World Wrestling is a Nintendo Entertainment System professional wrestling game for one or two players released in 1989 where the player can control one of ten fictional international professional wrestlers. This is the first wrestling game to feature a play-by-play announcer, the animated Tom Talker, although his speech was only text bubbles. The game's text, e.g. Tom Talker's commentary, was translated from the Japanese game almost directly, leading to instances of Engrish. It is sequel to Def Jam Vendetta and is followed by Def Jam: Icon. Def Jam Vendetta is a 2003 professional wrestling video game that combined hip hop with pro wrestling. It was released for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube. It was Electronic Arts' first attempt at a wrestling game since the widely-panned WCW Backstage Assault. The game's engine was originally designed for use in a sequel to EA's WCW Mayhem, but EA lost the WCW license when the wrestling company was purchased by the World Wrestling Federation in 2001. Several hip hop artists were featured in the game, including DMX, Method Man, Redman, Ludacris, N.O.R.E., Capone, Scarface, Joe Budden, Ghostface Killah, Keith Murray, WC and Funkmaster Flex; all of which at the time were artists of Def Jam Records. Singer Christina Milian was also featured in the game as the character known as Angel. A sequel, Def Jam: Fight for NY, was released in 2004.
