The Atlanta Gladiators are a professional minor league ice hockey team based in Duluth, Georgia (in the Atlanta metropolitan area). The Gladiators play in the South Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference. The Gladiators play their home games at the Infinite Energy Arena.

The Brampton Beast are the only active Canadian professional ice hockey team in the ECHL since the 2014-15 season. An affiliate of the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens and the American Hockey League's St. John's IceCaps, the team originally played in the Central Hockey League for one year during the 2013-14 season prior to the league's folding. Based in Brampton, Ontario, the Beast play their home games at the Powerade Centre on Kennedy Road.

The Kalamazoo Wings, nicknamed the K-Wings, are a mid-level professional ice hockey team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A member of the ECHL's Eastern Conference, North Division, they play in the 5,113-seat Wings Event Center.

The Toledo Walleye are a professional hockey team based in Toledo, Ohio. The Walleye is a member of the North Division of the Eastern Conference of the ECHL. The Walleye were founded in 1991 as the Toledo Storm and play their home games at the Huntington Center, which opened in 2009.

The Wheeling Nailers are an ECHL ice hockey team based in Wheeling, West Virginia. They are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the NHL and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL. The Nailers are the oldest surviving minor league franchise below the level of the American Hockey League, with unbroken continuity of franchise and never having missed a season of play.

The Adirondack Thunder are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL that began play in the 2015-16 season. The team is based in Glens Falls, New York and affiliated with the NHL's Calgary Flames. The Thunder play their home games at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The Thunder replaced the AHL's Adirondack Flames after it was relocated to Stockton, California to become the Stockton Heat.

The Elmira Jackals are a professional minor league ice hockey team based in Elmira, New York. The Jackals play in the East Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference. They were originally part of the United Hockey League. They are the ECHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League and the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. The Jackals play their home games at the First Arena.

The Manchester Monarchs were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They played in Manchester, New Hampshire, at the Verizon Wireless Arena. They have been the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League (NHL) Los Angeles Kings since 2001. For the 2015-16 season, the Monarchs traded places with the Kings' affiliate in the ECHL, the Ontario Reign; the AHL franchise moved to Ontario, California, and play at Citizens Business Bank Arena where they became the new Ontario Reign, while the ECHL team moved to New Hampshire retaining the Manchester Monarchs name.

The Norfolk Admirals were a professional ice hockey team that played in the American Hockey League. They became affiliated with the Anaheim Ducks after being dropped from the Tampa Bay Lightning following their 2012 AHL championship season. The Admirals played in Norfolk, Virginia at the Norfolk Scope.

The Reading Royals are a professional ice hockey team that currently plays in the ECHL. The team participates in the East Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference. The Royals play their home games at the Santander Arena located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania. The Royals colors are purple, black, silver, and white. Since 2001, the Royals have ranked among ECHL leaders in regular season attendance. On March 25, 2006 against the Trenton Titans, the Royals reached their one millionth fan in attendance.

The Florida Everblades are a minor league ice hockey team based in Estero, Florida. They play in the ECHL and are affiliated with the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Their home arena is Germain Arena.

The Greenville Swamp Rabbits are a professional ice hockey team located in Greenville, South Carolina. They play in the South Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference and play their home games at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in downtown Greenville. The franchise had previously played as the Johnstown Chiefs from the ECHL's inception in 1988 until the team's relocation in 2010 and subsequently as the Greenville Road Warriors until being re-branded as the Swamp Rabbits in 2015.

The Orlando Solar Bears are a professional ice hockey team that plays their home games at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. They play in the South Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference.

The South Carolina Stingrays are a professional minor league ice hockey team based in North Charleston, South Carolina. The Stingrays play in the South Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference. They play their home games at the North Charleston Coliseum. The Carolina Ice Palace, also located in North Charleston, serves as a practice facility and backup arena for the Stingrays. Established in 1993, the team has been owned by a conglomerate of local business owners since 1995.

The Cincinnati Cyclones are a professional hockey team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The team is a member of the ECHL. Originally established in 1990, the team first played their games in the Cincinnati Gardens and now play at U.S. Bank Arena.

The Evansville IceMen are a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL. The team was originally a member of the International Hockey League before it merged into the Central Hockey League in 2010. The franchise has won four post-season championship titles in the UHL in 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2005. Formerly playing at the Swonder Ice Arena, since the 2011-12 season the IceMen have played at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

The Fort Wayne Komets are a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL. The team was previously a member of the Central Hockey League and the International Hockey League before it ceased operations and several of its former teams joined the CHL in 2010. The Komets also played in the previous iteration of the International Hockey League from 1952 until 1999, when they joined the UHL (which took the IHL name in 2007). They have won four post-season championship titles in the original IHL in 1963, 1965, 1973 and 1993, four in the UHL/second IHL in 2003, 2008, 2009 and 2010, and one in the CHL in 2012. They play their home games at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Indy Fuel are a minor league ice hockey team in the Midwest Division of the ECHL's Western Conference which began play in the 2014-15 season. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Fuel play their home games at the newly renovated Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds. They are affiliated with the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.

The Quad City Mallards are a minor league professional ice hockey team based in the Quad Cities area of Illinois and Iowa. The Mallards are a member of the ECHL. Named in honor of the Mallards team that played in the United Hockey League from 1995 to 2007, the current Mallards debuted in 2009 in the International Hockey League before joining the CHL for the 2010-11 season after the CHL and IHL merged. The Mallards play their home games at I wireless Center in Moline, Illinois.

The Allen Americans are an ice hockey team headquartered at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas, which currently plays in the ECHL. The team was founded in 2009 in the Central Hockey League (CHL) where they played for five seasons, winning the Ray Miron President's Cup twice. The CHL folded in 2014 and the ECHL accepted the remaining CHL teams as members for the 2014-15 season. Currently, the Americans are affiliated with the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks and the American Hockey League's San Jose Barracuda.

The Missouri Mavericks are an ice hockey team in the ECHL. Affiliated with the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, the Mavericks play in Independence, Missouri, USA, located near Kansas City, Missouri, at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.

The Tulsa Oilers are a professional ice hockey team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma which plays in the ECHL. The Oilers played their home games at the Tulsa Convention Center until 2008 when they moved into the new BOK Center. For many years, the Tulsa Oilers name was shared with Tulsa's former minor-league baseball team that pre-dated the Tulsa Drillers. To reduce confusion in local news reporting, the hockey team was often called the "Ice Oilers", a moniker that continues to this day among many Tulsans.

The Wichita Thunder are a minor league hockey team based in Wichita, Kansas, United States. The team played in the Central Hockey League from 1992 until 2014, and then in the ECHL since the 2014-15 season. From 1992 until December 2009 the Thunder played in the Britt Brown Arena located in the northern Wichita suburb of Park City. In January 2010 (the second half of the 2009-10 season), the team began playing its home games at the newly built Intrust Bank Arena.

The Alaska Aces, known as the Anchorage Aces until 2003, are a minor league ice hockey team in Anchorage, Alaska. Home games are played at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. The Aces have won three Kelly Cup championships, most recently in 2013-14.

The Colorado Eagles are a professional ice hockey team based in Loveland, Colorado. The Eagles play in the West Division of the ECHL's Western Conference.

The Idaho Steelheads are an American professional minor league ice hockey team based in Boise, Idaho. The team began playing in 1997 and has been a member of the ECHL since 2003.

The Rapid City Rush are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL which are currently affiliated with the National Hockey League's Arizona Coyotes and the American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons. Based in Rapid City, South Dakota, the Rush play their home games at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.

The Utah Grizzlies are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL. They play out of West Valley City, Utah, United States, with their home games at the Maverik Center.
