In 1989, The band debuted on Derrick May's Transmat record label with the single "I Believe". In 1990, "I Believe" was included on the compilation Techno 2: The Next Generation (10 Records). Also In 1990, with their brother Lynell, they formed the record label 430 West Records to release the vinyl record Octave One "The Octivation EP". Octave One have remixed recordings for Massive Attack, Joey Negro, DJ Rolando, Steve Bug, John Thomas, The Trammps, Rhythm is Rhythm, and Inner City. In 2000, Octave One released their most commercially successful recording, "Blackwater". In 2002, "Blackwater" was remixed by the band with a reworked live string arrangement performed by the Urban Soul Orchestra in London, England. The single was re-released by Concept Music (United Kingdom), Ministry of Sound/Voidcom (Germany), Vendetta Records (Spain), and Tinted (Australia) in the same year. It peaked at #47 (February 2002) and #69 (September 2002) in the UK Singles Chart.

Lords of Acid
Lords of Acid is a Belgian and American post-industrial/techno band, led by musician Praga Khan. They debuted with the controversial new beat single "I Sit on Acid" in 1988. Created by Jade 4U, Praga Khan and Olivier Adams; their debut album, 1991's Lust (along with additional singles "Rough Sex" and "I Must Increase My Bust"), were critically acclaimed within the electronic music and dance music communities for their outrageously sexual lyrics and sound samples. Their second album was Voodoo-U, which featured a more industrial sound. This was followed by Our Little Secret (1997), Heaven Is an Orgasm (1998) and Expand Your Head (1999). In 2000 they released a more rock-influenced album titled Farstucker and in 2003, after being in the business for fifteen years, released a greatest hits album called Greatest T*ts.

Laserdance (often hyphenated as Laser Dance) was a Dutch italo disco studio project that had consisting of musicians Erik van Vliet, Michiel van der Kuy and later Julius Wijnmalen. The studio project has been categorized as part of subgenre known as spacesynth and has been considered as a major influence for the subgenre and has remained popular around the Europe in the mid-1980s. All of Laserdance tracks are known to feature basic analog synthesizers, drum machines and vocoders. The name of the studio project comes from the first single with the same name published in 1984. C-Tec was a band originally formed as a side project in 1995 by Jean-Luc De Meyer (of Front 242), Jonathan Sharp (of New Mind), and Ged Denton (of Crisis NTI) as The Cyber-Tec Project. The name was taken from Cyber-Tec Records, who released their first album. This EP was also released on Fifth Column Records in the US. Black Snake Moan is an American industrial rock band formed in 1997 in the San Francisco Bay Area by singer, songwriter Paige Lawrence. Named after the blues song, "That Black Snake Moan No. 1" by country blues artist Blind Lemon Jefferson the band began its career playing blues-influenced industrial music. Lawrence's lyrics, influenced heavily by authors Carlos Castaneda, Anne Rice, and Frank Herbert, focus on introspection, indigenous spirituality, unexplainable phenomenon and personal development. Lawrence, the only permanent member of the group has recruited completely new musicians to play live for each of the two Black Snake Moan albums, Rattle In The Sand (1999) and Tension (2005). The majority of the band's live performances have been held in the San Francisco bay area, where they have a strong local following.
