Charlotte 49ers
The Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) in NCAA Division I basketball. The 49ers are a member of Conference USA, which they were a charter member of. Charlotte returned to C-USA in 2013 after having left the conference to join the Atlantic 10 Conference in 2005. The 49ers have also played in the Sun Belt Conference and were a member of the Metro Conference, which merged with the Great Midwest Conference to form Conference USA.

Louisiana Tech
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs basketball program, colloquially referred to as the Dunkin' Dawgs, represents intercollegiate men's basketball at Louisiana Tech University. The school competes in Conference USA in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and play home games at the Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston, Louisiana. Marshall
The Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball team is a basketball team from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Marshall has advanced to the NCAA Tournament five times through the years. The Thundering Herd has also played in the NIT in 1967-1968-1973-1988-2012. Marshall won the NAIA National Championship in 1947, and is 7-2 all-time in the first collegiate basketball tournament, one year older than the NIT and four years older than the NCAA Tournament.

The North Texas Mean Green men's basketball team represents the University of North Texas (UNT) in NCAA Division I college basketball, competing as a member of Conference USA. For most of its history, the Mean Green have had patches of success, starting in the 70s when the team received its first ever top-20 ranking under head coach Bill Blakeley as well as success in the late 80s and early 90s under head coach Jimmy Gales and then again in the mid to late 2000s under head coach Johnny Jones.

Old Dominion
The Old Dominion Monarchs Basketball team represents Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, United States in NCAA Division I men's competition. (The women's team, which has traditionally had a considerably higher national profile, is known as the Lady Monarchs.) The school's team currently competes in the Conference USA. Rice
The Rice Owls men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball program of Rice University. The program is classified in the NCAA's Division I, and the team competes in Conference USA. They previously participated in the Southwest Conference (1914-1996) and the Western Athletic Conference (1996-2005). The Owls play their home games in Tudor Fieldhouse, which they have called home since 1950. Previously known as Rice Gymnasium, it was renamed in honor of Rice alum Bobby Tudor, who spearheaded the 2008 renovation of the facility with a multimillion-dollar donation.

The UTSA Roadrunners men's basketball team represents the University of Texas at San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Originally competing as an NCAA independent in 1981-82, the Roadrunners joined the Atlantic Sun Conference in 1986-87, and eventually joined the Southland Conference in 1991-92. Western Kentucky
The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Hilltoppers currently compete in Conference USA. The team's most recent appearance in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament was in 2013. Ray Harper became the interim coach of the Hilltoppers on January 6, 2012 after Ken McDonald was fired, with Harper being promoted to head coach on February 19, 2012.
