Cleveland State
Cleveland State Vikings women's basketball started in 1973. They are a member of the Horizon League (1994-present). The Cleveland State women's basketball team was formerly in the North Star Conference (1988-1992) and Mid-Continent Conference (1992-1994). Prior to 1988 the Cleveland State women's basketball team was not affiliated with any conference.

The Detroit Titans are the athletic teams of the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM). The university is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The school primarily competes in the Horizon League, but competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference for men's lacrosse and the Atlantic Sun Conference for women's lacrosse.

Valparaiso
The Crusaders women's basketball team started play during the 1971-1972 season. The team joined the North Star Conference for the 1987-1988 season. In 1990-1991, the Crusaders reached the finals of the North Star Conference Tournament before losing to DePaul.

Wright State
The Wright State Raiders team is the NCAA Division 1 basketball team that represents Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. The school's team currently competes in the Horizon League. Youngstown State
The Youngstown State women's basketball team began competing as an official member of the athletic department in the 1975-76 season under Head Coach Joyce Ramsey. Ramsey coached the Penguins for seven seasons and retired with a .694 winning percentage (93-41), the best of the program's seven coaches.
