East Tennessee State University
Brad Irwin enters his sixth season at the helm of ETSU Buccaneer Softball as he was introduced head coach on July 21, 2010. Irwin, the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga since 2006, brings nine years of collegiate coaching experience to Johnson City. Prior to his four-year stint at Chattanooga, Irwin served as an assistant at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., from 2003-06. Irwin began his coaching career under the watch of current Tennessee coaches Ralph and Karen Weekly at Chattanooga from 1997-99.

Samford University
Mandy Burford enters her fifth season as the head coach of the Samford softball team. Burford was promoted to head coach in 2012 after serving as an assistant coach in 2011. In 2015, Burford guided the Bulldogs to a 33-22, 11-7 SoCon record and finished as SoCon runner ups in the regular season. Samford tallied seven SoCon All-Conference selections which included 2015 Freshman of the Year Shelby Maze.

University of North Carolina at Greensboro
During Janelle Breneman's third year at the helm, UNCG had its third-straight winning season (25-22) becoming the first coach since Melody Cope (UNCG Hall of Fame honoree) to achieve three winnings seasons in a row. Breneman's 84 wins is already fourth all-time in school history. Her eight SoCon Tournament victories is second most in just three seasons.

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
Frank Reed is in his 14th year as head coach of the Chattanooga Mocs softball team. Reed wrapped the 2015 season with a 35-15 record and claimed his eighth Southern Conference Championship, eighth regular season title and eighth NCAA Regional appearances. Reed has coached in the Scenic City for 25 years, including 11 seasons at Chattanooga State. Over his 25-year career, the head coach has compiled a 1,009-401 record considering collegiate and junior college records, including a 533-314 record at UTC.

Western Carolina University
Jim Clift begins his fourth season as the head coach of Western Carolina softball. He became the third head coach in Western Carolina softball history, taking over in the summer of 2011. Prior to taking over the head coaching position, he spent two seasons as the assistant coach for the Catamount softball team.
