Janice Savage, a nine-year coaching veteran that served as the head coach at Delaware State University in 2013 and 2014, was named the fourth head coach in Appalachian State University softball history on July 11, 2014. She now enters her second season at the helm of the Mountaineers in 2016.

Georgia Southern University
Coach Smith's tenure in Statesboro has taken the Eagle Softball Program to new heights with two SoCon Regular Season Championships and two SoCon Tournament Championships as well as overseeing the transition to the Sun Belt Conference in Smith's four seasons. During her tenure, Smith has advanced to the NCAA Tournament twice (2012 and 2013) as the Eagles have quickly made a name for themselves within the regional and national landscape.

Georgia State University
Roger Kincaid has spent four seasons as the head coach of the Georgia State softball team. While leading the program, Kincaid has guided the Panthers to a record of 140-88 (.614), including a 53-29 mark (.646) in conference play. Kincaid has posted 30 or more wins in each of his first four seasons, including three with 35 or more wins.

Texas State University
In 14 years at the helm of the Texas State softball program, head coach Ricci Woodard has guided her team to a 484-319-1 record, 10 conference championships and five NCAA Regional Championship appearances. The 2014 season brought continued change for Woodard and the Texas State softball team as the Bobcats were new members of the Sun Belt Conference, their third conference in as many seasons.

Troy University
One of the top young coaches in college softball, Beth Mullins was named the second head coach in Troy University's NCAA Division I softball history on June 17, 2014. We are extremely excited that after an extensive nationwide search with tremendous interest to have one of the rising stars in the softball coaching world as our new head coach, Athletic Director John Hartwell said. University of Louisiana at Lafayette
In 12 seasons as either co-head coach or head coach of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball program, Michael Lotief has advanced to the NCAA tournament in every single one, compiling a 596-147-1 (.801) record in the process. Originally a co-head coach of the Ragin' Cajuns with his wife Stefni, he took over the reigns as the sole head coach prior to the 2013 season, boasting a 47-15 record and a trip to the NCAA Ann Arbor Super Regionals in his first year alone.

Corey Lyon is in his second season at the helm of the ULM softball program. He was introduced as the program's head coach on June 27, 2014. Lyon led the 2015 ULM softball team to its first 30-win season and record over .500 since 2001. The Warhawks placed fourth in the Sun Belt Conference tournament despite being chosen seventh in the SBC Preseason Coaches Poll.
