Idaho State
ISU's women's basketball team plays their home games at Reed Gym, which has a seating capacity of 3,040 for basketball. The most recent appearance of the women's team in the NCAA tournament was in 2012, when it was eliminated 41-70 in the first round by the Miami Hurricanes. The women's program maintained an active rivalry in basketball with both Idaho and Boise State. In recent years, ISU has dominated UI, but in turn been dominated by BSU.

The North Dakota Fighting Hawks women's basketball team is part of the athletic program at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It is a member of the NCAA Division I Big Sky Conference; the upcoming 2012-2013 season will be their first in the new conference. Previously they played in Division II's North Central Conference and Division I's Great West Conference. The current women's head coach is Travis Brewster.

Sue Darling enters her fourth season leading the NAU women's basketball program after spending four seasons as an assistant coach at Arizona. Darling has 29 years of basketball coaching experience, including stints as an assistant at both Arizona and Arizona State and three years as the head coach at Air Force.

Bethann Shapiro Ord is beginning her fifth season as head coach of the Weber State women's basketball team. Ord was named head coach of the Wildcats in May 2011 after a long career as an assistant coach. She is the fifth head coach in Weber State women's basketball history.
