Brandeis University
Bill Shipman came to Brandeis in 1981 as the head coach of both men's and women's fencing and has continued the long tradition of fencing excellence at Brandeis. His men's team won the 1989 University Athletic Association championship and finished runner-up six times. His women's team has won four UAA titles, including the three straight from 1993-95, and finished runner-up twice. In 2013, the Judges took home the New England Intercollegiate Fencing Championship crown in their home of the Gosman Athletic Center, and successfully defended their title in 2014.

Iryna Dolgikh, a former world champion fencer, was named the head fencing coach at Cornell University by the Meakem Smith Director of Athletics Andy Noel in June 2005. Dolgikh is the seventh Big Red fencing coach in the program's storied history.

Peter Brand has led Harvard's men's and women's fencing programs to their most successful era in school history since he joined the Crimson staff prior to the 1999-2000 season. He is the seventh coach in the 117-year history of Harvard fencing and just the second to lead the women's squad. Brand has compiled a 175-75 overall record and a 47-29 mark in the Ivy League with the men's team. On the women's side, he owns a 214-67-1 overall record and a 58-33 mark against Ancient Eight opponents.

Pennsylvania State University
Now entering his 31st season with the Nittany and Lady Lions, Head Coach Wieslaw (Wes) R. Glon, joined the Penn State fencing program as an assistant coach in 1985. Since being on staff, Glon has been an integral part of Penn State's fencing achievements, which include thirteen combined Men's and Women's NCAA Championships and nine second place finishes.
