Ball State University has selected Megan Ciolli Bartlett, a two-time All-American with nine years of NCAA Division I coaching experience, as the new head coach of the Cardinals' softball program, according to director of intercollegiate athletics Mark Sandy. We are excited to welcome Megan to the Ball State athletics family, Sandy said. Her experience as a student-athlete, professional player and coach make her the ideal person to lead our softball program.

Eastern Michigan University
The 2016 season will mark the third year for Melissa Skeeter Gentile as the head coach of the EMU softball team. In her second season, Gentile saw her squad improve their overall record by five wins from the season before while the Eagles placed three on the All-Mid-American Conference second team. Abi Clark, Michelle Kriegshauser and Taylor Wagner each garnered the accolade for the first time in their careers.

Kent State University
KENT, Ohio - Head Coach Karen Linder announced the addition of Eric Oakley as an assistant coach to the Kent State softball staff on Tuesday (July 1). Oakley joins the Golden Flashes after spending the previous three seasons as head coach at North Dakota. Oakley returns to the Mid-American Conference, as he was a member of Eastern Michigan's coaching staff for five seasons (2007-11) prior to his stint at North Dakota. He was interim head coach for the 2010 season and led the Eagles to a 19-30-1 record.

Buffalo University
Trena Peel begins her third season as head coach of the UB Softball Team. She was named the eighth coach in school history on July 12, 2013. In her first season with the Bulls, Peel led UB to its first ever outright MAC East Division Title and the softball program was named UB's 2013-14 Team of the Year. Despite being picked to finish last in the MAC East prior to the season, the Bulls finished the year with a shool-record 30 victories and remained over .500 wire-to-wire.

Western Michigan University
The Western Michigan University softball program is under the direction of head coach Kathy Leitke. The 2015 campaign will mark Leitke's 15th in Kalamazoo, making her the longest tenured coach in program history. In 2013, Leitke surpassed a pair of coaching milestones, winning her 600th career game as a head coach and reaching the 300-win plateau at Western Michigan University.
