We build Factory Editions. Championship winning bikes, like this one. Thanks to its compact SOHC (single overhead camshaft) engine delivering explosive but controllable power, it is the weapon of choice for our Factory Teams around the world.
KTM rocked the motocross world in 2015 when it unveiled two mid-year model releases-the 250 SX-F and 450 SX-F Factory Editions-that featured massive weight reductions, improved handling, and major power increases.
The 2016 KTM 250 SX-F model has better torque and a new smaller engine that is lighter and more powerful. The clutch has been raised as well as the rev limiter, while the seat and handlebar are lower and the footpegs have been mounted back a bit and a bit lower.
There are significant engine and chassis improvements for KTM's 2016 four-stroke motocrossers, plus an all-new 350 SX-F. Learn more and view photos at CycleWorld.com.
There are several new features and additions to the 2016 KTM 450 SX-F model but readers can get more info at the MotorcycleUSA 2016 450 Motocross Shootout.Â
Most noticeable from the outside on the 2016 KTM 450 SX-F is the updated Flow Design Header (FDH) with its oddly two-stroke-like integrated sound resonator (the U.S.-spec silencer is now 40mm shorter). KTM also equipped this motorcycle with its own version of electronic Launch Control. Check out our First Impression review here.
he first shots of 2016 have been fired! KTM dropped it's entire line of dirt bikes on us and there are no less than five motocross bikes that are completely new from bottom to top, including new 125 and 150 two-strokes.
