A revolt against the Ottoman Empire by the Arabs to create a unified Arab state. It wasn't a battle per say but a campaign of guerrilla warfare assisted by Allied support. It was this campaign that British officer T.E. Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia, would become famous for taking part in.
