Ice Skating

Ice skating is the act of moving on ice by using ice skates. It can be done for a variety of reasons, including exercise, leisure, traveling and various sports. Ice skating occurs both on specially prepared ice surfaces (arenas, tracks, parks), both indoors and outdoors, as well as on naturally occurring bodies of frozen water, such as ponds, lakes and rivers.

Immerse yourself in a winter wonderland located above the Las Vegas Strip as you skate on 4,200 square feet of real ice, roast s’mores by the fire or enjoy seasonal beverages in a park-like atmosphere, complete with snow showers.

Brenton Skating Plaza is an outdoor rink located in Downtown Des Moines. Skating season is held annually November through March. During the summer months a canopy is installed over the venue to provide a unique outdoor event space.

The PANDORA Ice Rink will reopen on Friday, November 10, 2017. The Opening Ceremony will begin at 1pm and public skate will begin immediately after. See you soon!

The Devon Ice Rink returns for its 8th season in the Myriad Botanical Gardens in 2017. Join us for another great winter of outdoor ice skating at Downtown in December’s premier attraction. Open 7 days a week from beginning November 10, the Devon Ice Rink hosts daily public skating, private parties, and special events all winter long. The ice rink will be open through January 28.
