Events begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, with an old-fashioned parade and finish that evening with a spectacular, oceanfront fireworks show.Planned events include:

Come celebrate America’s Birthday with a patriotic parade through Jekyll Island’s historic district! Local residents and guests are invited to decorate their bikes, golf carts, strollers, and pets and join in the fun. Ribbons will be awarded at the conclusion of the parade. Participation in the parade is free, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Celebrate the 4th of July holiday on Jekyll Island. Bring your friends and family for a day or the weekend and participate in Jekyll Island’s patriotic fun. Admission for all 4th of July activities is free. However, the Jekyll Island parking fee will be increased during this event.
