New Year's Eve in Reykjavik, Iceland
Iceland, the land of fire and ice, with its clean air and stunning northern lights displays, is a popular destination for New Year's trips. And for good reason: Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, definitely knows how to celebrate during these long, dark nights.

New Year's Eve in Reykjavik Iceland - Life With a View
Well friends, New Years Eve is coming up soon! I mean I don’t want to rush the Christmas season, and TRUST me, I have some fun Christmas stuff coming up! This week’s post comes from a question in the Facebook group. Christina and Jenny will be in Reykjavik on New Year’s Eve and were asking about recommendations for things to do. Knowing this was a question a lot of other people might have, I decided to do a whole LIVE video post answering their question in my Facebook group! Here’s what we talked about, I didn’t want anyone to miss out on this information! Dinner Time: 6pm-8pm New Year’s Eve starts out at home with the family and big dinner with lots of delicious food. I know a lot of Americans are used to going out for dinner on New Year’s Eve. Since NYE is traditionally a family holiday, restaurants and bars used to be closed on this day. However, with the tourism boom, more places are staying open. If you are coming to Reykjavik and planning on dining out I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation NOW. I’ve heard that a lot or places are already booking up so make sure to plan …

New Year's Eve | Visit Reykjavík
New Year’s Eve in the capital area is an extraordinary experience, especially given the fact that there are no official firework displays in the city. This legendary night is very much created by the people of Reykjavik who collectively do an amazing job with the pyrotechnics and celebrations.

How To Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Reykjavik
If Iceland’s capital isn’t on your list of places to ring in the New Year, it should be. We had the idea to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Reykjavik when Tim spent two months living and working in Iceland. In talking with the locals, he learned that Iceland’s fireworks laws are relaxed for New Year’s and a massive fireworks display is put on for the people, by the people. We watched the live feed from Reykjavik just after ringing in 2012 in Italy and made a resolution that we would be in Reykjavik to welcome in 2013. Now that we’ve spent New Year’s Eve in Reykjavik, we can tell you it’s a celebration with a lot more to it than just an incredible fireworks display.
