The Outsiders

Based on the award-winning book by S.E. Hinton and the film by Francis Coppola, comes the TV series of "The Outsiders". The story of the Curtis brothers, Darry, Soda Pop, and Pony Boy, struggling to make it as a family.

S.E. Hinton's influential coming-of-age novel The Outsiders was originally published in April 1967 by Viking Books. It told the story of the three Curtis brothers Ponyboy (14 years old), Sodapop (16) and Darry (20) rough and tumble Greasers whose parents had been killed in a car crash. They were part of a loose-knit gang that often came into conflict with the rich Socs (short for Socials) in town. It was written while the author was still in high school.

The Outsiders is an American drama series that aired from March to July 1990 on Fox. Based on the characters from the 1967 novel of the same title by S. E. Hinton, the series' executive producer was the 1983 film's director Francis Ford Coppola.
