Scott, 58, played Luke's Diner proprietor Luke Danes. He revealed in a new interview that he has his own coffee brand in development, to be called Scotty P's Big Mug Coffee.
What can we say about Luke Danes other than that he was TV's most lovable grump ever? Clearly in love with Lorelai since the beginning of the series (The Santa Burger! The Hat! The Horoscope!), Luke finally made a move later in the series, only to have it crash and burn (we'll get to that a little later. See: Vanessa Marano's slide.) Fortunately, the series finale strongly hinted that the duo work would it out. Phew! Since shutting down Luke's Diner, Patterson has gone on to enjoy roles in some smaller films and starred in 2008's Aliens in America and NBC's short-lived series The Event in 2011.
Casual “Gilmore Girls” fans know him as Luke Danes, the curmudgeonly but thoughtful owner of Luke’s Diner and eventual, if not always-certain, paramour of Lorelei Gilmore.
