Gateway Galaxy - Super Mario Wiki, the Mario encyclopedia
The Gateway Galaxy is one of the many galaxies from Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii. It serves as the opening level for the game and after Mario clears its first mission, he won't be able to return here until the Gate is unlocked later on in the game. It has the only purple coin mission in the game that can be played before beating Bowser.

The Sling Pod Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. It can be accessed by feeding the Hungry Luma that appears outside the Fountain 400 Star Bits. This galaxy doesn't have any large planets and is almost completely made up of Sling Pods and other obstacles. Mario must climb onto one of the Sling Pods, then launch himself in the direction of the next pod. The obstacles are floating mines that will hurt Mario if he hits them, or cause him to fall into a Black Hole. There are many Star Bits in this level.
