Power-Ups

A Cloud Flower is a power-up from Super Mario Galaxy 2. The flower of the plant looks like a cloud with eyes. If Mario grabs one, he'll transform into Cloud Mario. As Cloud Mario, he'll be able to create clouds as temporary platforms by spinning. These clouds have faces on them.

Spin Drills are items that appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Mario and his brother can pick up a Spin Drill and drill directly through planets and dirt. When standing on a spherical planet, the player can use the Drill to go through the surface to the other side by shaking the Wii Remote. The Spin Drill can also uncover hidden inside areas of planets that are otherwise unaccessible.

The Rock Mushroom is an item that has so far only appeared Super Mario Galaxy 2. It turns Mario into Rock Mario. When collected, Mario's hat and overalls turn to stone, and it gives him the ability to encase himself in a Boulder by shaking the Wii Remote. He can also accelerate by jumping and then shaking the Wii remote.

The Bee Mushroom is a yellow mushroom with brown stripes on the cap which acts as a power-up in Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel, Super Mario Galaxy 2. The mushroom is first found in the Honeyhive Galaxy after collecting a ? Coin. It is also found in Super Mario Galaxy 2 in the Honeybloom Galaxy.

The Boo Mushroom is a type of Mushroom that appeared in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 and turns Mario into Boo Mario or Luigi into Boo Luigi. It is a white mushroom with a Boo-like face. It is the least used power-up in Super Mario Galaxy, found only in the Ghostly Galaxy, Sand Spiral Galaxy, and the Boo's Boneyard Galaxy. It is used only once in Super Mario Galaxy 2, in the Boo Moon Galaxy.

Fire Flowers are a power-up that are obtainable in many games in the Mario franchise, originating from Super Mario Bros. They can be found inside blocks (mostly ? Blocks) that normally contain Super Mushrooms if the player is already in their Super form (or in later games any other powered-up form), and obtaining one transforms the player into their Fire form, allowing them to throw fireballs. The Ice Flower is the polar opposite of the Fire Flower.

The Spring Mushroom is an item in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. In the former, it is first found in the Toy Time Galaxy and later reappears in the Matter Splatter Galaxy, as well as during the Beach Bowl Galaxy's Purple Coin challenge. It resembles a metallic mushroom with a spring-like top. When obtained, it wraps a spring around Mario or Luigi, turning them into Spring Mario or Spring Luigi, respectively.

The Rainbow Star is an item that appears in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2; it is the Super Mario Galaxy equivalent of the Super Star, used to prevent confusion between Super Stars and Power Stars. When collected, it transforms Mario into Rainbow Mario (or Luigi into Rainbow Luigi), causing him to become rainbow-colored and leave a trail of light behind him whenever he runs.
