Everything's Eventual (novella) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The story is told in first person perspective by a 19-year-old high-school dropout, Richard "Dinky" Earnshaw. Dinky fatuously explains that he's got a good job now. He used to be a clerk at the "Supr Savr," where he worked with morons and was relentlessly bullied by an aggressive dimwit named Skipper.

Revolution - Everything's Eventual : Review
There are fourteen stories here, and only a few are what people typically think of when the name Stephen King is mentioned. A couple are twists on classic themes: 'Autopsy Room Four' updates a great old Twilight Zone episode in a most non-television manner, and 'Riding the Bullet' is a ghost story, plain and simple.

Book Review: Everything's Eventual: 14 Dark Tales by Stephen King | John Walters
I hope it doesn't sound like a contradiction when I say that I admire much of Stephen King's work but have read little of it. For the most part I have seen the films, and that has been good enough for me. That includes "Firestarter," "The Dead Zone," "The Stand," "The Green Mile," and others.

EVERYTHINGS EVENTUAL by Stephen King | Kirkus Reviews
These days, grumbles King (Hearts in Atlantis, 1999), "When you get done, you get done . . . I don't want to finish up like Harold Robbins." (Robbins wrote into his 80s despite aphasia from a stroke and kept publishing despite being dead.)
