The Hector Pieterson Memorial
The Hector Pieterson Memorial in Soweto was erected in the early 1990's as a memorial to Hector Pieterson, a 12 year old child, who was killed by police during the Soweto Student Uprising on 16th June, 1976. Alongside the memorial, is the Hector Pieterson Museum.
