The Glenbow Museum in the heart of Calgary is Western Canada’s largest museum. Four full floors of artifacts, antiquities and art pull you into the history of Alberta and the world. Entering the museum has you standing under Aurora Borealis, a glistening sculpture of over 700 prisms where light dances and reflects beams of colours, mesmerizing you as you walk the staircase that wraps around it. Every floor of the museum offers exhibits to explore – some to behold and some to hold! Art from Canada and Asia bring the worlds together on the second floor while the third floor is dedicated to learning about Alberta. Enter the Mavericks, an Incorrigible History of Alberta exhibition to learn how Mounties, railways, rum runners and flaring oil wells helped shape the province.

Glenbow is Western Canada's largest museum, offering a variety of exhibitions and events throughout the year. Its art collections, displayed on the second floor, combine contemporary works by Alberta artists with historical Canadian artworks.
