They have a collection of over 40,000 artifacts, which are displayed in several permanent exhibits. Clearly, my favorite exhibit was on ethnic minority clothing - I have about 100 photographs of the different outfits.

Yunnan Nationalities Museum (Chinese: 云南民族博物馆; pinyin: Yúnnán Mínzú Bówùguǎn) is located on the east bank of Dianchi Lake next to Yunnan Nationalities Village in Kunming City, China. Completed in 1995, it is a comprehensive ethnology museum. Covering an area of over 200 mu, the museum has a building area of 130,000 square meters.
