Oregon Rail Heritage Center - Oregon
As luck would have it, the center is the, well, center of rail on the Portland eastside, with not only tracks that it can access for its historic trains and cars, but also the new Clackamas County light rail line runs directly in front of it, and it’s also surrounded by working freight track.

Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation
Portland’s industrial heritage is entwined with being at the crossroads of many different railroads for over a century. The east-side Brooklyn Yard near the Willamette continues to host one of the last remaining roundhouses with a turntable. Therein live three historic steam locomotives and most of the heavy machinery necessary to maintain them by volunteers. The near vicinity hosts a variety of historic diesel locomotives as well as historic passenger cars and other rolling stock.
