Known for its mesmerizing architecture, beautiful wooden carvings, this palace captivates all its visitors with its incomparable beauty. Built in the Tudor-style architecture, it resembles the medieval castles of Normandy and England to some extent. It is said that King Chamaraja Wodeyar of Wodeyar dynasty was quite impressed by the Windsor Castle of London during one of his trips to England. Hence, it built the Bangalore Palace on the similar lines.

In 1884, it was bought by the then Maharaja of Mysore Chamarajendra Wadiyar X.[1] Now owned by the Mysore royal family, the palace has recently undergone a renovation.
