There is no doubt that Deepika Padukone is the Numero Uno heroine and the 10th highest paid actress in the world! We all know how Deepika will walk away with the fattest pay cheque ever for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'. However, not many know that Deepika will walk away with a way fatter pay cheque than her beau Ranveer Singh who will be seen playing Allauddin Khilji in the film. According to reports, Ranveer has been paid around Rs 7-8 crore for the film, whereas Deepika has reportedly been paid Rs 11 crore, excluding taxes. Sometime back, there were reports that producers Eros International had asked Bhansali to cut down on his lavish expenses and extravagant sets, after news of Deepika's exorbitant fees were out. It was also reported that after seeing how a period film like 'Mohenjo Daro' proved to be colossal flop, makers of 'Padmavati' are being extra cautious about their finances and leaving no stone unturned to ensure that their film doesn't run out of budget. After all, it's not the film, but the budget that fails at the box office!

Padmavati is an upcoming Indian period drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film features Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in leading roles. It is currently scheduled for release on 17 November 2017.[1]
