Lucky Ali, Music Department: Kaante. Lucky Ali was born on September 19, 1958 in India as Masqoom Mehmood Ali. He is known for his work on Kaante (2002), Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000) and Sur: The Melody of Life (2002).

He has been a wanderer all his life, trying his hands at odd jobs - from being a horse breeder to an oil rigger, farmer, an actor to a musician.

He is a son of famous comedian Mehmood who was originally named as Maqsood Mehmood Ali. He is known to compose a sing soulful stuff that comes with simple ballad style singing in a melodious voice. Meena Kumari is his aunt, while Minoo Mumtaz is also his paternal aunt. He went to Bombay Scottish School in Bombay, while did his college from Mussoorie. He calls him as a strict Muslim, while calls the holy book Quran as his best music piece. However, calls religion as the personal stuff and nothing to make public staying at the rooftop and yelling about it. His first wife was from New Zealand known as Meaghan Jane McCleary who is the same lady appeared in his first album called Sunoh in the popular song O Sanam. His second wife is a Parsi girl called Inaya, while he married the third time to a British model called Kate Hallam. He has total five children with 2 each from her first and second wife and one from his thirst and current wife.
