Norma Jeane, who got married at age 16 to escape the foster care system, was first noticed at the plant by propaganda photographers during the war.In August 1945, a photographer brought the 19-year-old to meet Miss Emmeline Snively, who owned the Blue Book Modeling Agency, at the Ambassador hotel in Los Angeles.
