The son of Adam and Becky Boryca, Alex was born on Oct. 11, 1995. He is majoring in agricultural economics. He was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2015. Boryca was named to the Brook Berringer and Tom Osborne Citizenship Teams for his outreach work, including volunteering with Uplifting Athletes, Pilger tornado relief and local hospital visits.
