Waylon Smithers

Waylon Smithers. Loyal servant and adamant admirer of Mr. Burns while hoping for nothing in return, and, for the most part, getting it. He tucks Mr. Burns into bed at night, polishes his liver spots, and in the event of a medical emergency, provides him with any needed organs. Owner of world's largest collection of Malibu Stacy dolls. Says, "That's Homer Simpson, sir, from Sector 7G," and "You're a genius, sir."

Waylon Smithers, Jr. is a fictional television character on the Simpsons and is voiced by Harry Shearer. He has also made several appearances in games based on the long-lasting franchise.

At the advice of Mr. Burns, Smithers takes a vacation and hires Homer to be his replacement, thinking that Homer could never outshine him. However, Smithers' plan backfires when Homer's incompetence causes Burns to learn how to do things for himself resulting in the now useless Smithers losing his job as Burns' assistant. Homer decides to help Smithers get his job back, but their plan backfires and the two get into a fight in Mr. Burns' office. Burns is accidentally knocked out of a window and needs Smithers to do things for him again.

After 27 years on the animated series "The Simpsons," character Waylon Smithers Jr. came out of the closet on Sunday night's episode.

Waylon Joseph Smithers, Jr. (better known as "Mr. Smithers" or simply "Smithers") is Mr. Burns's personal assistant, executive, and self-proclaimed best friend. He has lived with Burns since he was an infant, and though partly raised by him, Burns has never seen Smithers as a stepson or an heir; nonetheless, his loyalty to his evil boss is sincere.

Waylon J. Smithers, Jr., usually referred to as Mr. Smithers or simply Smithers, is a recurring fictional character in the American animated sitcom The Simpsons, who is voiced by Harry Shearer. Smithers first appeared in the episode "Homer's Odyssey", although his voice could be heard in the series premiere "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire". He is the consummate executive and personal assistant of Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's owner Mr. Burns.
