Santa arrives in Downtown Holland escorted by reindeers, bands, floats, vehicles, family and friends all decked out in thousands of sparkling holiday lights! More than 70 entries will illuminate the streets of Downtown Holland during this procession. At the end of the Parade, Santa and his reindeers will take the time to greet his fans – young and old alike!

Celebrate the magic of the holiday season at the 6th Annual ‘Winter Snow Fun’ Holiday Parade and 41th Annual City of Marquette Tree Lighting. Bundle up with friends and family as illuminated floats, tinsel-strewn trucks and colorful carolers transform Third Street into a magical scene from the North Pole. After the parade, spectators are welcomed to the Marquette Commons where Santa Claus and friends will light up Downtown at the annual City of Marquette Tree Lighting. Festivities include a performance by the Marquette Senior High School Redmen Chorale, pony rides, hot chocolate and photos with Santa Claus. The Marquette Post Office staff lends a helping hand to Santa’s elves by collecting children’s letters to Santa along the Holiday Parade route.

The Detroit Zoo will light up the night again this holiday season with Wild Lights, a spectacular light display. For 24 nights, more than five million LED lights will illuminate trees, buildings and more than 230 animal sculptures throughout the front half of the Zoo. Experience the magic of the Detroit Zoo in winter as you take in the lights and the sights and enjoy holiday entertainment and special activities for guests of all ages. Children younger than 2 are admitted free.

What are the holidays without plenty of lights, plenty of cheer and some good shopping for gifts and stocking stuffers? Welcome to Christmas at Crossroads Village. It’s one of Mid Michigan’s favorite holiday traditions. You’ll find costumed villagers, live entertainment, model trains and craft demonstrations, holiday music and, of course, visits with Santa himself. It’s holiday fun for the whole family and it all begins with our opening night festivities on November 25. Join us for the annual tree lighting ceremony, a fireworks show and FREE village only admission for Genesee County Residents.
