Little Finland is part of the Gold Butte National Monument where a plateau of orange/red Aztec sandstone has been eroded into intricate and complex forms in an area of 2,000 by 400 feet. At this time there is no visitor center or modern facilities.

The national monument, which the Trump administration is reassessing, is full of life — Joshua trees, prairie falcons — and stunning petroglyphs.

The newly-designated Gold Butte National Monument in Nevada contains fragile wildlife habitat, important sites for native tribes and thousands of ancient rock etchings.
