Michael Frizell, Director of Student Learning Services at Missouri State University, is Editor of The Learning Assistance Review, the peer-reviewed journal of the National College Learning Center Association. He holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. His poetry, short stories, and creative nonfiction appear in literary journals and in comic books for Tidal Wave Entertainment, where he writes biographies of the famous and infamous. Upcoming fiction titles include The Fantasy World of Bettie Page, James Dean: Timeless, and Polka Spot, among others. He also serves as the associate editor for Skye Press, an imprint of Oghma Creative Media, where his upcoming graphic novel, bender, about the infamous serial killer family from Southeast Kansas, is serialized in Saddlebag Dispatches and will be published in a hardcover volume next year.
