TommyLog – Things Just Don’t Happen
I went to Phoenix to meet a long time social media friend and to teach a class with some of her real estate colleagues. I met her family and we broke bread together. We went family grocery shopping together. We’re teaching a class together. How does this happen?
How do you go from social media friends to business partners? How does something like this happen? It doesn’t! The man upstairs has a plan. If you think for a second that all these pieces of the puzzle just happen to come together – – you’re not paying attention.

TommyLog – Determination – Persistence & Team Work
Hey Kids it’s dad, and for today’s Tommy log I want to talk to you about a movie I just saw. The movie is called The Founder. About Ray Kroc and the story of McDonald’s and how he worked with the McDonald brothers to build the McDonald’s empire. Ray Kroc was a very shrewd businessman. He knew what he wanted. He let nothing get in his way.

TommyLog – One Door Closes – Another Door Opens
Hey Kids it’s Dad, and for today’s TommyLog I want to talk to you a little bit about 2016. 2016 was A good year. A lot of learning, a lot of change. Change makes us stronger. When one door closes, another door opens. I’ve had some wonderful opportunities in 2016. A couple great jobs. Sadly one job job ended. All out of my control. I’ve had some amazing opportunities come since I’ve been laid off. The Lord has watched over the Clifford family. Tom Clifford’s network has come out in spades. So many great people have come to help. Jobs and opportunities have come out of the woodwork. I’m thankful for each and every person who is reached out to us. We had an amazing Christmas. Was it easy? No it was not. But that makes us stronger.

Sometimes Things Just Work Themselves Out!
Hey Kids it’s Dad, for today’s TommyLog, I’m still in Alanna Georgia. I’m attending the sit some social influencers travel summit put on here in Atlanta Georgia. I’m having an amazing time. Today’s topic I want to talk about there are times you’re going to get phone calls you just don’t want to answer. There’s people I love to talk to but I know that when I get a phone call from this one person it’s always trouble. Back at home I do a lot of work with one particular client and when they happen to call, I know things are not going well.

TommyLog – Just Yell “Plot Twist”
Dearest Emma hit me with the best quote this morning that just fit perfectly with what had happened over the weekend. “When things aren’t going your way, just yell “Plot twist”. What profound words from a little girl. I love it!

TommyLog – Why Bad Things Happen?
Yesterday was September 11th with all the commemoration that goes into the 13th anniversary of that tragic event. Emma, who is 7 and wasn’t even thought about back in 2001, had an experience in school that really touched her…to the point of tears. Yesterday at school they watched a video about PS 234 and the impact 9/11 had on that school. She was just so moved by the video. This morning she asked “Dad, why do bad things happen?”

TommyLog – Small Things make the Biggest Difference
I have had this recurring whining with my power steering in my 2008 Honda Accord. After some good Google research, I found a self help video on how the power steering problem is caused by air getting into the lines. Digging deeper I found a Honda tech note on how the intake line may have a bad o-ring. After purchasing a 15 cent o-ring on a Honda parts website as well as $4.95 shipping, a trip to my buddy Sean’s house for some TLC, the problem was fixed.
