A crowd of hundreds flocked to the ASU campus for a chance to see former U.S. President Bill Clinton, who visited the University during a campaign stop in support of his wife’s bid for the presidency. The ballroom of ASU’s John Garrick Hardy Student Center was transformed into the site of a political rally on Saturday, Feb. 27, as former President Bill Clinton visited Montgomery in support of his wife’s presidential campaign. Clinton’s stop drew hundreds of supporters. As they waited for Clinton’s appearance, the crowd was entertained by ASU’s Trebled Soul. The student a cappella group received thunderous applause for its renditions of Michael Jackson’s "Never Can Say Goodbye" and Pharrell Williams’ hit tune, "Happy." Montgomery County Probate Judge Steven Reed, a Clinton delegate, roused the crowd with the ASU chant and encouraged everyone to vote in the election on Tuesday, March 1.
