Marvel Is Having Inhumans Kill Off X-Men in the Comics
Over the past year, Marvel Studios has plucked the Inhumans from relative obscurity to give them prime placement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only are they getting their own feature film in 2019, theyâ??re the subject of a major ongoing arc on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Essentially, they serve as a stand-in for the X-Men, since 20th Century Fox still holds the rights to Marvelâ??s mutant roster.

The New Extraordinary X-Men Comic Will Revive One Of The X-Men's Biggest Fallen Heroes
Yup. Professor X is back, after a relatively lengthy absence of three years. Well, lengthy for a comic book, where death is rarely, rarely permanent.

X-MEN COMICS TO READ BEFORE SEEING APOCALYPSE
Apocalypse looms. We've seen it. It's awesome. And as with previous X-Men flicks, aspects of its plot should be familiar to fans who remember certain story arcs from the comics. Some of those arcs are even being re-printed in time for the movie's release.

This X-Men Comic Might Be the Bleakest Dark Phoenix Story Ever
Unless some other series winds up pulling off something unexpected, E Is for Extinction is going to wind up my favorite Secret Wars tie-in book. And that's because the X-Men-in- twilight story has nothing to do with Dr. Doom or any crossover nonsense. It's all about the right way for old superheroes to die.

The newest movie X-Men are the most long-serving, unlucky comic book X-Men of all.
X-Men: Apocalypse features the introduction of two characters who are new to the team, but thanks to the complicated chronology of the movie franchise, not new to the movie series. But if that makes events surrounding Cyclops and Jean Grey confusing to moviegoers, that's nothing compared with their comic book histories.

There Will Officially Be NO MORE X-Men in Marvel Comics
Some senior folks over at Marvel aren't too happy about Fox having the rights to make movies starring the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, since it means Marvel isn't making any money from them (or exerting any creative control over what's done to its creative properties on the big screen).
