Lead Brewer Mike Gauthier has been a part of the Midwest craft beer scene for 15 years. He started brewing in Chicago, and worked as an assistant brewer and then head brewer for Court Avenue Brewing in Des Moines. While there, he introduced countless specialty and seasonal beers, many of which were barrel aged, and several new core brands. In 2008, Mr. Gauthier’s beers swept the classic style at the Festival of Barrel Aged Beers in Chicago. Most recently, he has been part of the management team at El Bait Shop.
