Jubeck New World Brewing is a small microbrewery located in downtown
Dubuque, Iowa. Our mission is to create interesting and delicious craft
beer while providing a social space that cultivates conversation and
camaraderie.
After a few years of homebrewing and dreaming of opening a brewery in Dubuque, I enlisted my good buddy Dan Caraway in helping to turn my dream into a reality. We formed a partnership and Jubeck New World Brewing was born. We had a unique vision for a vibrant social space and a few good beer recipes to start with, but we had very little startup capital. So, in May 2013 we launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding for our startup costs. We also used the campaign to launch our Community Supported Brewery (CSB) membership program. One of the first places we pitched our idea was a community crowd funding event called Art Gumbo. We won second place and used the seed money from Art Gumbo to buy a stainless steel pot we found on craigslist (which became our mash tun!) and to make a video for our Kickstarter campaign. The Kickstarter campaign was an incredible success: funding went $7,000 beyond our goal thanks to 175 backers from the Dubuque community and beyond. We were so thrilled!
Our 10 taps are in constant rotation. We love to experiment with new and seasonal recipes, and community input helps us decide which beers we brew again. We strive to offer a full spectrum of flavors so there is always something for everyone.
