The road to BBC started when Pat Hagan set off to California in the 80s. Motivated by a restless need for adventure, he hitchhiked back and forth across the country several times, always returning to California or Kentuckiana. While on the West Coast, he was introduced to craft brewed beers (San Jose is about an hour south of Chico, home to Sierra Nevada Brewing Company) and developed a love and passion for the “hoppy” beers of California.
