Kretschmann Brewing Company

We are a destination brewery in Central Massachusetts with a focus on creating the highest quality German and American style ales and lagers. We brew many classic styles and seasonal varieties using imported malt and ingredients from local farms. After a year of serving our beer exclusively by the growler out of our brewery by Webster Lake, we expanded our operations by moving to a larger space in the heart of downtown Webster. Our brewery taproom and outdoor beer garden by French River park and Webster’s riverwalk is a generous space where our patrons can enjoy beer by the glass, local musicians, and friendly conversation.

In 2012 KBC started out as a small brewery on Thompson Road in Webster with to-go beer sales by the growler only. This small building allowed us to get to know our neighbors and patrons, but we soon outgrew the space. We moved our brewery to Webster center and reopened in October of 2014, adding a taproom where we now sell our beer by the glass, flight, and growler.

Our brewery is adjacent to our taproom at KBC. We brew beer as Kretschmann Brewing Company, crafting small and delicious batches of beer in German and American styles. We also brew soda syrups and serve them fountain style. As part of our focus on supporting small businesses like ourselves, we brew with local ingredients, including corn and hops from Four Star Farms in Northfield, MA, cranberries from Mayflower Cranberries in Plympton, MA, coffee from Sturbridge Coffee Roasters in Southbridge, MA, and use whiskey barrels from Sons of Liberty Spirits in South Kingstown, RI. We also grow our own Pumpkins and Butternut Squash!

Our outdoor beer garden is a place to enjoy our beer, soda, and other locally crafted beverages by Webster’s French River park and riverwalk. You can enjoy outdoor live music on Saturdays and occasional Friday nights (weather permitting, see the Events page for schedule) in a family-friendly atmosphere. We will also have food trucks visiting for special events.

Located upstairs from our Brewery and Taproom, the Wintergarten at Kretschmann Brewing Company is a premiere event venue for the town of Webster. Decorated with imagination, the Wintergarten features a Viking Ship that doubles as a booth, loveseat, and sitting bar. It also features The Peace Tree, a LED powered Ginko Tree that spectacularly lights up the room. Along the wall, the Wintergarten boasts a row of Power Recliners with drink holders, trays, and USB phone chargers.
