Our story begins in the mid-1980s. At that time co-founder Matt was tooling around his central Wisconsin home town of Wisconsin Rapids on his big wheel and still a long way off from having visions of hops and malt in his dreams. At the same time, co-founder Jeff had just finished up his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the U of M and was sporting his 1970s relic porn stache while accepting a job at the paper mill in the same small town.
