After working at some of the top breweries, including Sierra Nevada, Scott Vaccaro decided to open Captain Lawrence Brewing Co., in Pleasantville NY back in 2006. He started out with a small 15 barrel brew house and would bring kegs of beer down to the city in his Volkswagon Jetta to spread the flow of beer out to the masses.

One of the best things that happened when we moved to Elmsford was the ability to increase the size of the tasting room – more than triple the space of our Pleasantville location! The new tasting room boasts a 30ft long oak bar, two twelve-tap towers, and an endlessly rotating list of draft beers to sample and take home. Whether you’re sitting at one of our indoor picnic benches or using an old wooden barrel, there is plenty of room to stretch out and relax with a beer. The large windows lining the length of the room provide an abundance of natural light, and ceiling height glass doors allow a great view into the production facility, to take in all the action on the bottling line.

Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. crafts some of the best East Coast Ales. With 7 year round ales and many more specialty ales being brewed throughout the year, you are sure to find the right beer for you. Our barrel aging program produce some of the best and unique combinations of flavors to our already outstanding beer selection. The tasting room in Elmsford NY allow customers to come see the brewery in action while sipping on the freshest of CLBC you can get. We host private parties as well as special events like our Annual anniversary party.
