Hello my name is Jay Stoyanoff and I am the brewmaster here at Plattsburgh Brewing Co. I started my journey into craft brewing more than 12 years ago. After studying biology, chemistry and physics at the University of New Hampshire I was lucky enough to be offered an internship at one of the finest craft breweries in the country, Smuttynose Brewing Co. in Portsmouth NH. After learning the basics of brewing I moved across town to Redhook Ale Brewing where I learned from some of the most knowledgeable and talented brewers in the world. From there I moved to the North Country to run Lake Placid Craft Brewing here in Plattsburgh. After that brewery was decommissioned, I was offered the opportunity to take over brewing at Legends Brew Pub and Wine Bar. Taking the creative license I was given, I’ve spent the past six years refining the brewery and the brews for Legends. In that time we have created some of the finest brews available anywhere. We are now available at many locations outside of the brewery with more coming on the horizon. With the launch of Plattsburgh Brewing Co. you can expect the same exact quality and the most interesting brews available in the area and beyond.
