OUR STORY
Allegheny City Brewing is a small, neighborhood brewery located in the Deutschtown neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
ACB is the result of years of hard work by the three of us...but make no mistake, we couldn't be here without the support and help of all of our friends, family and neighbors.
The idea for ACB was born about a decade ago when the three of us, all hailing from Pittsburgh, moved to Colorado. It was during our time in Rocky Mountains that we fell in love with craft beer and the sense of community that small breweries provided for their neighborhoods. We loved every aspect of these places, from the brew house dogs to the commitment to their neighborhoods and sustainability.

OUR BEERS
At any given time, Allegheny City Brewing will have 8 craft beers on tap in our tap room.
While we will consistently have a handful of flagship beers always on tap, we will be constantly rotating new recipes in as well. One of the benefits of being on a 7 barrel system is that it allows us to be flexible in what we brew. We want to constantly be innovating our recipe ideas to allow us to brew based on access to local ingredients, seasons, or the requests of our patrons.
While our lineup will be consistently changing, some of our favorite recipes so far are our Grapefruit Imperial IPA, Graham Cracker Porter, and Nova Gose. We brew a wide variety of styles, and like to age some of our beers on barrels and/or infuse with interesting ingredients.

THE BREW HOUSE
Allegheny City Brewing operates on a gas-fed 7 BBL brew house provided by our friends at Rocky Mountain Vessels. This system allows us to brew 210 gallons of craft beer at a time.
We have three 7 BBL fermenters, and serve the beers in our tap room directly off of four 7 BBL brite tanks and a variety of kegs in our cold storage room. We also have a variety of rye whiskey, bourbon, and red wine barrels that we use to age some of our beers.

TAP ROOM
Located right next to our brew house operations is our tap room, where we have seating for about 50.
We were able to reuse and upcycle most of the finishes featured in the tap room. In fact, many of the finishes (bar top included) were items that we found in the basement of the building, and we were able to restore. We're pretty excited about how the tap room turned out.
We have 8 beers on tap at any given time, and will some day soon be able to offer local wine, mead and cider.
